The Not-So-Common
At Mignonne Decor, we have the pleasure of working with a wide variety of furniture types and eras. Usually, we mostly work with mid-century arm chairs to traditional and classic antiques. However, once in a while we'll get a piece in that we've never seen before, and this Cassina Tobia Scarpa loveseat is definitely one of them.
A lovely client of ours brought her Tobia Scarpa loveseat in hoping to update it's vintage upholstery with something that felt fresh and a bit more modern. As you can see, this piece is quite unusual in that it does not have any visible wood frame, in fact, it barely has a frame at all. We knew this project would be arduous, but we were confident that our senior upholsterer would be up for the challenge.
He was! And the results could not have been better...
We love the final fabric selection that the client had made. The textured grey brings this piece to a modern era, while still maintaining it's vintage quirks.
This was such a fun project to work on and we could not have been happier with the results!
